High School Programs

BBYO is a youth-led organization that focuses on developing young Jewish leaders, with has six chapters in Milwaukee and one chapter in Madison. Our members plan and participate in a variety of social, cultural, athletic, religious, and social action programs, developing a positive Jewish identity based on Jewish values. We provide Jewish youth the opportunity to interact with one another within their communities, in statewide programming activities, and with other Jewish young people from across the country and throughout the world. BBYO-Wisconsin Region is a partner agency of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.

CTeen’s innovative programs nurture positive Jewish identity, help teens stand above societal pressures and channel their energy through positive mediums. CTeen harnesses the incredible potential of teenagers with awesome programs that bring teens together to give back to their communities and the environment. Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where teens can learn about themselves through giving to others, identify with individuals who share the same faith, and will be part of a group that focuses on building core values and stresses positive character development. CTeen, program of Lubavitch of WIsconsin, has locations in Bayside and Mequon.

NCSY offers social activities and regional events for Jewish teens in 8-12 grade. Teens enjoy Weekly Latte and Learning or BBQ and Banter Monday nights. NSCY offers bi-weekly social events on Saturday nights and four regional conventions a year with teens from Chicago, St. Louis, Memphis, Kansas City, Omaha, Minneapolis and Indianapolis. NCSY is affiliated with the Orthodox Union and is open to all Jewish teens regardless of affiliation.

MiTY is part of the national Reform youth organization called NFTY (National Federation of Temple Youth) which works to bring religious, social action, educational, social and leadership elements into youth led organized groups. MiTY works to inspire our youth to become their best selves and empower them to make a difference. MiTY is affiliated with Congregation Shalom, Congregation Sinai, and Congregation Emanu-el B'ne Jeshurun. For more information please contact one of the affiliated synagogues.

STARS (Students That Are Really Special) is a program run by the Center of Inclusion and Special Needs at the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center that provides engaging weekly and quarterly classes, educational resources, a tutoring center, and support for students with special needs and their families. The Resource Center offers parents guidance in navigating their child’s academic, behavioral and social experiences. STARS partners with Upstream Arts, a Minneapolis-based, nonprofit educational organization, to provide an arts-based curriculum throughout the year and a week of summer camp activities for young adult participants at JCC Rainbow Day Camp. Volunteer opportunities are available for teenagers who will be individually matched with a STARS participant to be their friend during programs and classes.
