A Hebrew School Your Children Will Actually Love. The Avrohom and Chaya Sara Pelz Hebrew School is an innovative afternoon school with one goal: to provide Jewish children with a broad knowledge of Judaism in a stimulating, creative, and challenging environment.

Congregation Beth Israel Ner Tamid’s School of Jewish Studies is dedicated to providing a quality educational program that is within the guidelines of the Conservative movement. The School serves students in kindergarten through 12th grade. 

Religious school offers the study of substantive curricular areas including holidays, Bible, prayer, God, history, synagogue, ethics, Israel, life-cycle events, Rabbinic literature, American Jewry, comparative religion, philosophy, and Hebrew. 

Congregation Emanu-El offers a full range of programs and activities for the Jewish community, in addition to regular Shabbat and holiday services. Our religious school serves students from preschoolers to teenagers.

Congregation Shalom Schools strive to make a Jewish connection with each child’s spiritual, intellectual, and emotional needs.  We attempt to give each child a solid foundation of Jewish knowledge within a Reform Jewish perspective, the opportunity to develop their personal beliefs and connections to their faith, and the understanding that Jewish teachings and values can apply to every aspect of their daily life.

Congregation Shir Hadash is a Jewish spiritual community. We are egalitarian, inclusive, welcoming, creative, and informal. Reconstructionist philosophy provides the foundation for our spiritual journey; we also welcome and explore other spiritual and intellectual paths.

We teach each student not only the skills to fully participate in the Jewish community, but also to instill an emotional sense of love for Judaism. Students learn hands-on skills such as lighting Shabbat candles, the Hanukkah blessings, the order of a Passover Seder, the prayers in the Shabbat service, and more. 

Through a warmhearted and sincere approach emphasizing the joy and delight in Judaism, MCHS strives to instill knowledge, ownership, and pride in a child’s Jewish heritage. Learning and exploration take place through specialized units that develop deep understanding and appreciation for Jewish practice and values.
